for a highly organized and pro-active sales and marketing associate with
experience in direct sales, sales team management, marketing and project
management to support the execution of the company’s sales and marketing
strategy in Uganda.
- Support Global Marketing Director in tactical plan execution and
daily project management - Manage and coordinate a successful small field sales team
- Manage sales team budget, including commission payments
- Work with franchises to develop sales strategies and tactics to meet
monthly targets - Collect and analyze sales data to track sales and suggest
improvements to drive better results - Organize and execute marketing activities such as events,
activations and promotional campaigns - Implement digital marketing campaigns, particularly on social media
platforms such as Facebook - Support the development and design of marketing materials such as
brochures, banners and sales tools - Perform basic layout design and content development to produce
marketing materials to support sales activities - Engage with customers to obtain market feedback
- Coordinate data collection and surveys from Jibu franchises
- The applicant must hold a Bachelors/Diploma in relevant subject
- Advanced degree a plus
- Experience using any design, graphic design applications (Adobe
Photoshop, Illustrator) - Experience working at FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) company
- Two years of experience focused on either sales or marketing at a
consumer products company - At least 1 year of field sales experience, selling products directly
to customers - Proficiency with MS Office applications, especially Excel and
PowerPoint - Proficiency with well-organized data entry & data analysis using
MS Excel - Basic knowledge of economic principles, ability to read and
understand profit and loss statements - Very well organized with a strong attention to detail and ability to
multi-task multiple projects & priorities at one time - Self-starter, able to think creatively and solve problems on the fly
in order to accomplish the goal - Aptitude with social media, especially for the purpose of running
advertisements and digital marketing campaigns - Very good with people, a confident but empathetic results-oriented
person who plays to win but strives for mutual benefit - Eager to get hands-dirty and get in the field, with 50% time in
field and 50% in office - Must enjoy being with customers, attending to their needs and
satisfying customers regardless of income categories and backgrounds - Strong desire to have a lasting impact on Uganda in terms of
economic and social development - Fluency in English
- Knowledge of Luganda and other local languages
