Integrated Development Initiatives (CIDI)
Uganda
Development Initiatives (CIDI) is a National NGO that coordinates and
implements several projects in Uganda. CIDI works at the vanguard of community
development focusing on four thematic areas; water and sanitation promotion,
sustainable agriculture for food and incomes, health promotion, conflict
prevention and peace resolution. CIDI with branches across the country works
amongst the poor and vulnerable communities in both rural and urban areas to
improve their livelihoods.
for duties relating to coordinating all procurement activities in the
organization,
Organize
and manage the procurement processes for the Organization.
Management
of Contractors and suppliers in line with the procurement guidelines of CIDI.
Manage
all the documents related procurements with the required professionalism.
Ensure that
the principle of value for money is achieved in all procurements.
Ensure
the quality of goods or services procured to be in place, at the right
time and purchased at the right price
Organize
and carryout procurement meetings as per the guidelines of CIDI Procurement
Manual.
Provide
CIDI management with periodical procurement reports, reviews and advice CIDI
management on the emerging procurement trends.
Prepare
annual/quarterly, semi-annual, procurement plans and procurement budgets.
Ensure
timely delivery of quality goods and supplies.
Update
the procurement manual from time to time to reflect the changing standard
procurement trends.
Maintain
an updated list of CIDI suppliers for all items and services.
The ideal
candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Supplies chain
Management, accounting, Statistics and other related fields.
Any post
graduate training in CIPS is an added advantage.
At least
two or more years of progressively responsible experience in Procurement and
Logistic Supplies Chain Management.
Computer
literacy skills; Ms. Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Publisher etc.
Good
analytical skills
Working
knowledge of procurement
Good
interpersonal skills.
Personal
integrity and concern for standards.
Effective
leadership, organizational, planning and communication skills
suitably qualified candidates should hand deliver to CIDI offices at the
Kampala Head office with detailed updated CVs together with copies of academic
