Registration Services Bureau (URSB) is established as a Statutory Body under
the Uganda Registration Services Bureau Act Cap. 210, Laws of Uganda 2000
Edition. The Bureau is a key player in commercial and civil registrations that
facilitate private sector development and vital statistics for national
planning.
for timely implementation of the URSB registration processes in accordance to
the laid down principles.
- Supports in the Registration of companies, business names, marriages,
death, trademarks, copyrights, patents, industrial designs, geographical
indications, attending to opposition matters and any documents in the
Regions. - Write correspondences and Quality assurance of statutory
requirements and issue notices for compliance and enforcement. - Responsible for the assessment of Non-Tax Revenue.
- Certification and verification of documents.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Senior Registration Officer
from time to time. - Any other duties assigned by supervisor from time to time.
- Companies, documents, business names, registered.
- Births, marriages and death registered.
- Trademarks, copyrights, patents, industrial designs, geographical
indications registered. - Returns and all statutory compliance documents filed in time.
- Timely response to correspondences
- NTR assessed.
- The ideal candidate for the Uganda Registration Services Bureau
(URSB) Legal Officer job placement must hold an Honor’s Degree in Law with
a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice - Should be enrolled as an advocate.
- At least two years of relevant professional experience working from
a legal related institution in a busy environment. - Should be enrolled as an advocate.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Fluent in both spoken and written English.
- Proven integrity and confidentiality in handling public resources
and in executing duties - A high level of interpersonal, management skills and ability to work
with teams - Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
