Uganda (A4HU) is a youth empowerment organization dedicated to mainstream young
peoples’ engagement in socio-economic development and promoting Sexual and
Reproductive Health and rights (SRHR). A4HU was registered in October 2017 as a
new entity to take over the operations of DSW (Deutsche Stiftung
Weltbevoelkerung) in Uganda. For the past 18 years DSW has supported the
implementation of a portfolio of projects to improve sexual and reproductive
health of young people in Uganda.

Job Summary: The
Driver is mainly responsible for driving staff on official duties, the
day-to-day managing of vehicle/s, their maintenance and security.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Driving staff, visitors and other assigned stakeholders to specified
places Maintaining the vehicle logbook accurately and timely (keeping time
when on duty) - Ensure that vehicles are used in the assigned areas and only for
purposes of project implementation Ensuring that the security of vehicle
and equipment inside are safeguarded all the time Supervise motor vehicle
service/routine checks and repairs, checks and reports promptly any motor
vehicle faults - Driving properly any type of vehicles assigned to you Ensuring
cleanliness and good running condition of the vehicle assigned Sending the
vehicle for service when due and advice on fuel consumption rate - Promote a cordial working relationship with government agencies,
civil society organisations, private sector and other partners. - Performs any other related duty as may be assigned.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate must hold a Certificate in motor vehicle
mechanics. - Training in defence driving is an added advantage.
- Two years of experience working as a driver with a reputable
organisation. - Good knowledge of traffic laws.
- Possession of a valid driving permit.
