Senior Policy Analyst

- Assisting in collection of data on sector policies and those
originating from line Ministries; - Assisting in administering research instruments, data collection,
analysis and compilation; - Monitoring the implementation of sector policies, programmes and
projects; - Collecting and analyzing data for updating the inventory of
government policies in the sector Ministry; - Providing necessary data for the production of the Ministry Budget
Framework Paper, Ministerial Policy Statement and other related reports; - Providing support to the function of public policy analysis in the
Ministry; - Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
- Applicants should be Ugandans in possession of an Honours Bachelor’s
Degree in Policy Analysis; or Social Sciences with the following subjects:
Sociology, Social Administration, Economics, Political Science and Public
Administration with a paper in Policy Analysis and Planning or an Honours
Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics or Quantitative Economics or
Economics and Statistics or an Honours Bachelor’s Degree of Statistics
from a recognised University/Institution. - Competencies:
Ethics and Integrity; Interpersonal; Communication and Computer Skills;
ability to adapt to multi-cultural settings; effective organisational and
planning skills; time management skills; technical skills; report writing
skills; negotiation skills; capacity for teamwork; innovation and concern
for results, quality and standards. - Age: Above 21
years
