Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Participating in formulation and preparation of policies, plans and
    programs to support the development of logistics in Uganda;
  • Participating in monitoring, and evaluation of policies, plans and
    programs in the logistics sector;
  • Initiating and reviewing the policies, plans, programs in the
    logistics sector/industry;
  • Participating in monitoring supervision and coordination of the
    logistics sector in Uganda;
  • Preparing performance indicators, key outputs and targets in respect
    to logistics sector as and when required by
    Ministries/Departments/Agencies;
  • Participating in preparation of procurement plans for the
    department;
  • Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
·        
Applicants
should be Ugandans in possession of an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Transport
Economics or Economic Policy and Planning; or Transport and Logistics or
Business Administration from a recognized University/Institution.
·        
Competencies: Ethics and Integrity; Interpersonal;
Communication and Computer Skills; ability to adapt to multi-cultural settings;
effective organisational and planning skills; time management skills; technical
skills; report writing skills; negotiation skills; capacity for teamwork;
innovation and concern for results, quality and standards.
