Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensuring ministry has an optimally running communications network;
- Monitoring and advising on frequency spectrum usage in the
telecommunications sector; - Participating in surveys to determine coverage of telecommunications
infrastructure and services in the country; - Participating in development of enabling laws and regulations for
the Telecommunications sub-sector and monitoring their implementation; - Participating in development of Telecommunications Engineering
standards in Government; - Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Applicants should Ugandans in possession of an Honours Bachelor’s
Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electric Engineering or
Telecommunications Engineering or Communications Engineering from a
recognized University/Institution. - Competencies:
Ethics and Integrity; Interpersonal; Communication and Computer Skills;
ability to adapt to multi-cultural settings; effective organisational and
planning skills; time management skills; technical skills; report writing
skills; negotiation skills; capacity for teamwork; innovation and concern
for results, quality and standards. - Age: Above 21
years
