am Development (C&D) and five other technical partners, Caritas Moroto
Diocese is implementing a new five-year (October 2017 — September 2022)
Development Food Security Activities (DFSA) Programme entitled “Nuyok” meaning
“It is Ours.” Caritas Moroto Diocese will be working through government,
community and private-sector systems and structures in implementing the Nuyok
project in the Districts of Napak and Nakapiripirit.
Graduation Supervisors will be responsible supervising Graduation Mentors and
supporting follow ups of Business and Savings Groups.
- Supervise and monitor the Rural Entrepreneur Access Project (REAP)
at the Sub-county level, ensuring that the project is implemented in
accordance with the BOMA requirements. - Participate in community mobilization and provide support during the
selection of potential BOMA beneficiary women in project target villages. - In collaboration with the Graduation and Marketing Officer, support
the Mentors in identification of eligible women for the REAP project,
based on BOMA’s selection criteria - Undertake continuous follow up and monitoring of the Graduation
Mentors, supporting them in collecting data using Tablets (SMART phones)
on the performance of Business groups and Savings groups - Support the Graduation Mentors in conducting business and savings
trainings for Business and Savings groups in project target villages and
or manyattas (ngireria) - Support the Graduation Mentors in undertaking regular surveys of
individual beneficiaries and collect data on living standards, children
school enrolment, participation in savings groups, and other relevant
information. - Attend to any complains of the Graduation Mentors and report such
complains as they arise to the Graduation and Marketing Officer for
immediate and appropriate action. - Check regularly on the functioning of the Tablets used by the
Graduation Mentors and report any major functional problems to the Graduation
and Marketing Officer for prompt action. - Represent Caritas Moroto Diocese in the Sub-county7where he or she
is located, including as a representative for the organization in local
development committees - Report on the performance of Graduation Mentors, business and
savings groups, to the Graduation and Marketing Officer on monthly basis.
- The applicant must hold a diploma in community development,
Development studies, Business Administration, ICT or any other relevant
field. - At least two years of experience in community work in a busy
organization is highly desirable. - Demonstrable ability to plan and coordinate field activities
- Proven competency/experience in data collection and basic analysis
- Possession of self-drive; able to work with minimal supervision
- Good report writing skills
- Fluency in Ngakarimojong and being a permanent resident of the
District in which BOMA project is being implemented.
