is the second largest Public University in Uganda. Since its formation in 2003,
the University has established itself as one of the leading Universities in
Uganda offering a number of academic programmes in line with vocational
education, teacher training, hands-on engineering, special needs training,
social sciences, pure and applied sciences, entrepreneurship and management
that meet the Market remands and development needs of the Country. The
Strategic Focus Areas of the University include: Teaching Learning; Research,
Innovation and Knowledge Generation; Physical Infrastructure, Facilities and
ICT Development; Institutional Development and Strategic Marketing.
Job Summary:  The University Engineer will coordinate and
manage all estates, engineering and technical works, transport and logistics in
the University

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate must hold a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering
    or Construction Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent from
    a recognized University/Institution.
  • Should have a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Construction
    Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent from a recognized
    University/Institution.
  • Must be a registered engineer with the Engineers’ Registration Board
    of Uganda and a member of a recognized professional engineering body like
    the Uganda Institute of Professional
  • Engineers or equivalent institution.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in building, construction
    and maintenance of physical infrastructure, three (3) of which must have
    been served at the level of senior management or equivalent level in a
    reputable organization.
  • Age Limit: Should
    be below 55 years old at the time of application.

submit Six (6) copies of their applications together with the following:
  • A detailed and an Up-to-date Curriculum
    Vitae.
  • Recent and original copies of their
    passport size photographs attached to the application;
  • Certified copies of academic
    transcripts, certificates, and professional qualifications.
  • Copies of the National Identity Card or
    copies of relevant pages of the passport indicating the applicant’s date
    of birth.
  • Names and addresses of three referees
    who should be advised to send reference letters direct to the Director
    Human Resources under confidential cover.
