(SMU) is a national not-for-profit NGO affiliated to StrongMinds US.
StrongMinds is a young dynamic rapidly growing organization whose focus is to
“Treat Depression at Scale in Africa “one of the silent killers. Since
inception about two and half years ago, SMU has treated well over 7,000
patients. In pursuit of its goal and 2017 annual objectives and impact, SMU is
doubling the size of its Uganda based work-force.
Job Summary:  The Investments and Partnerships Manager will
be a driver of growth within the organization and will lead on building
relationships with the private sector in Uganda and pro-actively seek out new
potential partners and donors, developing innovative ways to diversify our
funding stream, along with maintaining relationships with diverse strategic
partners already in place including government, multilateral and bilateral
agencies, trusts and foundations. This role will partner with the ED to manage
existing donor partnerships in-country. As a member of the Senior Management
Team, the Partnership Manager is responsible for contributing to the strategic
development of StrongMinds Uganda’s partnership approach within development as
well as humanitarian programming. He/she is responsible for operationalizing
the country program’s Partnership Framework including development of the
Partnership Policy, Strategy and Guidelines. He/she will be responsible for
supporting the effective execution and implementation of these documented
approaches by rendering technical support. 
The Partnership
Manager, in collaboration with the ED and the Mental Health Trainer (MHT) will
be responsible for rolling out the capacity strengthening efforts within the
country program by supporting and coordinating capacity strengthening of
partners and coordinating staff capacity strengthening within the partnership
field to relevant staff groups at both country and field office level.
