Staff SACCO is a registered entity in Uganda dedicated to having economically
empowered members for development and prosperity through training in investment
protocol, financial management and financial resources utilization. The SACCO
was formed in 2009 and the membership has grown to 535. This growth in membership
has resulted into increasing financial portfolio.

Job Summary: The Operations Manager SACCO will steer
business growth, membership base, product development and competitiveness with
the view to enhance members’ welfare and development. Reporting to the NH Staff
SACCO Executive committee, the Manager will be charged with the responsibility
of overall effective and efficient day to day management of the SACCO according
to the Strategic and operational plans and ensures that the institution is
safe, financially sound and sustainable.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance to ensure smooth flow of all SACCO
operations. - Responsible for the management, development and maintenance of high
performance team by providing prudent leadership, effective supervision
and guidance of staff members under supervision. - Responsible for the organization’s investments, focuses on balanced
investments portfolios in order to enhance return on investment; - Systematically manage assets and liabilities of the SACCO to attain
desired yields from members’ saving, deposits, loan and investments in
order to sustain growth and development. - Responsible for the organization’s financial planning, forecasting
and budget. - Responsible for the management of costs so as to achieve business
growth as outlined in the strategic plan. - Responsible for supporting decision making through preparation
,analysis and presentation of comprehensive ,timely ,reliable and compliant management reports. - Responsible for development, update and implementation of the SACCO
policies and procedures. - Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly performance reports of the
SACCO to the Executive committee, based on acceptable reporting standards. - Oversee annual and ad-hoc audits of the SACCO.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements.
- Ensure compliance and remain knowledgeable with the statutory and
regulatory requirements and provide guidance to ensure that the Executive
committee and other committees are operating within the limits as set in
the cooperatives Act and SACCO Bye- laws. - Prepare, arrange and attend to SACCO committee meetings and other
scheduled meetings. - Perform any other duties as assigned by the Executive Committee from
time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or commerce
obtained from a recognized institution of higher learning. - Two years of practical working experience in the field of Finance,
Management and Administration of institutions. - Combined knowledge of general and financial management.
- Strong leadership skills and decision making ability
- Excellent analytical skills, self-driven and initiative
- Good interpersonal skills.
- High degree of integrity.
