About US:
Mandated by the
Uganda Cancer Institute Act of 2016, the UCI is an autonomous body, with the
mandate to, among others, undertake and coordinate the management of cancer and
cancer-related diseases in Uganda. It is critical to the evolution of a
National Centre of Excellence, providing specialized treatment and care for all
types of cancer using all the available subspecialty expertise possible, as
well as engineering oncology-centered research and training.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Repairs and maintenance of medical equipment
  • Carrying out electrical installations
  • Detecting electrical faults and taking corrective action
  • Supervise and train artisans
  • Performs any other duty assigned from time to time

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicant for the Uganda Cancer Institute (UCI) Engineering
    Assistant (Electrical) job must be a Ugandan holding a certificate in
    Electrical Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • Working experience in a medical facility is an added it advantage
