Ministries is a ministry of Watoto Church that rescues vulnerable children and
restores dignity to them by providing holistically for their physical,
spiritual and emotional needs. Watoto has operations in Kampala, Wakiso,
Mpigi and Gulu.
Organisational Development will handle performance management and
organizational development.
- Actively participate in the development and updating of HR and other
related policies and standard operating procedures as well as in
supporting line managers and team members to comprehend and implement
employee guidelines, policies and procedures. - Provide support to the implementation of the talent management,
succession planning and any other ministry re-organisation processes. - Coordinate the annual HR Planning process for the Ministry.
- Assist the line managers and other leaders to do periodic reviews of
departmental organograms and roles to ensure that the end results support
the achievement of the Ministry’s vision. - Coordinate the planning and budgeting process for the HR department
to the end that the - HR department’s work plans and
budgets are completed and submitted within the requisite timelines. - Regularly advance and implement initiatives that will improve the
Ministry’s employee performance management process. The role holder will
also provide feedback on the performance review process to employees and
the leadership as necessary. - Develop, present and subsequently implement initiatives to improve
the learning and development experience at Watoto Ministries. - Build partnerships with reputable learning and development service
providers that can partner with Watoto to add value to our teams’
development. - Coordinate and manage HR services contracts
(e.g. medical, provident fund, workers compensation) with internal and external stakeholders to the
end that the ministry teams receive seamless services at all times. - Generate and present reports on HR metrics and any other areas as
and when required
- The applicant for the Watoto HR Officer – Performance Management
& Organisational Development job opportunity should hold a Bachelor’s
Degree in Human Resources Management, Social Sciences or a related area. A
Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management is an added advantage - A minimum of four years of working experience in the stated HR
functions in a large and busy organization. - They will be tech-savvy especially in MS office and database
management - The candidate should be willing to learn continuously and have the
ability to transfer knowledge and skills to others. - S/he should be a team player that is results oriented, self –
motivated, able to work with minimum supervision and willing to take on
challenging and engaging assignments.
