Job Summary:  The Hospitality Manager will have the
responsibility of ensuring a smooth running of the operations of the guest
house: customer care, banking, lodging, housekeeping, procurement, health and
safety, food, beverages and security.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Organize and coordinate guest house operations to ensure maximum
    efficiency
  • Manage the front office and delegate the role to other staff when not
    around. (First point of contact for all guests).
  • Recruit, supervise and evaluate guest house staff according to FOB
    standards.
  • To oversee the preparation of the guesthouse budgets
  • Oversee the stock in flows and outflows and ensure a timely
    re-ordering / purchase
  • Supervise the procurement policy of FOL insofar as it relates to the
    guesthouses.
  • Fully accountable for all the resources in the guesthouse
  • Resolve non — emergency guest issues and report unusual activity and
    incidents to the Head of Finance and Administration.
  • Contact appropriate people in case of an emergency and provide full
    a report of action taken
  • Responsible for participating in the development and implementation
    of procedures relating to guests.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicant must hold a BSc/BA in hospitality management, hotel
    management or any related course
  • Diploma in Hospitality Management
  • At least two years of proven experience in Hospitality management
  • Solid understanding of hospitality procedures and best practices
  • Knowledge of quality standards (e.g. ISO) is an added advantage
  • Proven experience in customer service – Proficient in MS Office
