Corporation (URC) is a body corporate established under an Act of Parliament to
construct, operate and maintain railway, marine and road services both inside
and outside Uganda for the carriage of passengers and goods. As a result of
privatisation of operations, the mandate of URC changed from that of an
operator to that of asset holder, concession monitor and advisor on railway
technical matters.
specialized knowledge of auditing and information technology, participates in
audits of the Corporation’s information systems, systems development processes,
LANs and related resources/processes to determine the adequacy of general and
applications controls and to assess compliance with applicable policies,
procedures, statutes and contract requirements.
- Oversee IT internal control evaluations of effectiveness for the
Corporation. - Perform Tests of Operating effectiveness of IT internal controls
(Business application & Computer controls) - Evaluate Compliance with IT internal controls
- Conduct assessments on changed, newly added or implemented IT
internal controls - Provide IT Management with remedial support as well as tracking and
reporting on remediation activities being undertaken by internal audit - Facilitate the Audit function on simple IT solutions to ensure
effectiveness of the Section - Conduct special IT project audits as required
- Assist the Head of Internal Audit/Audit Manager with control
assessments and performance of internal audits - Liaise and educate departments across the Corporation on IT internal
controls and new regulatory requirements and provide guidance on all
control issues.

Information Systems Auditor job placement should possess a Bachelor’s
degree in IT related Field - Professional qualification e.g. CISA
- A minimum of two years of experience

- Age: 25 – 35 Years
