policy change through government and other key international organizations to
secure and protect the right of poor people to safe, affordable water and
sanitation services.
Job Summary:  The Civil Engineering Consultant will support
construction work in schools, communities and Health care facilities in
Kampala.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Review existing construction designs
  • Generation of BOQ for the approved designs
  • Develop procurement documents.
  • Supervision of construction in the standard phased processes
  • Issue of Certificate of Completion in Collaboration with
    Beneficiaries, KCCA and WaterAid

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The WaterAid Civil Engineering Consultant should hold a
    University Degree in Civil Engineering;
  • Five years of relevant professional experience in infrastructure
    project preparation and management, civil works including detailed design
    and supervision;
  • Good understanding of national regulations pertaining to the
    environment, communal services and procurement through NGOs and government
    agencies;
  • Good knowledge of the relevant design norms and construction
    legislation;
  • Good communication and report writing skills;
  • Very good Computer skills (Word, Excel, Access);
  • Excellent knowledge of English.
