Ministries is a ministry of Watoto Church that rescues vulnerable children and
restores dignity to them by providing holistically for their physical,
spiritual and emotional needs. Watoto has operations in Kampala, Wakiso,
Mpigi and Gulu.
bi-weekly video announcements providing concepts, scripts, rough cuts, finished
products and graphics treatments.
- Responsible for the bi-weekly video announcements, Testimonies /Ads
and effectively deliver final news by Thursday for a played back at all
Watoto Church campuses. . - Responsible for filming, editing and documenting Watoto ministry
events, stories and church news and mixing audio on projects assigned by
the senior producer. - To provide concepts, scripts, rough cuts, and graphic treatments to
Senior Producer for approval and endeavor to archive source materials,
finished media and project files. - To be responsible for all video equipment owned by Watoto Ministries
which includes; microphones, audio cables, cameras, lenses, drives,
batteries, field drives and media cards. - To keep an up to date account for all gear, cards, and drives on
agreed upon spreadsheet with the Senior Producer and endeavour to retain a
week’s accountability for all hard drives used for field recordings. - To manage check out systems and maintenance of all video equipment,
including audio mics, cables, field cameras, cameras used for sermons and
media cards used in video cameras. - To edit a wide range of internal and external projects on Adobe
premiere pro or other platform, ranging from basic interviews to audio
podcasts, demos, across a myriad of distribution platforms. - To mentor and coach apprentices in the art of general production to
enable their professional growth in all areas of production and leadership
in video production.
- The applicant for the Watoto Church Media Preditor job opportunity
should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass communication, Journalism,
media and any other related degree. A bias in either broadcast journalism,
Film and Television is an added advantage. - Familiar with filming equipment including camera’s & lens,
lighting, audio recording devices and also able to film and lead a team of
production. - Must have a full understanding of mirrorless & DSLR’s camera
formats and a myriad of camera equipment accessories. - A minimum of three years of
videography experience with the ability to shoot, edit, write,
produce, create graphics and mix audio - Must know and work well in Adobe Creative Suite including Premiere
Pro CC, After Effects, Photoshop. - Ability to receive briefs and outlines for scripts and draw up
storyboards and pre-prodution. - Knowledgeable of social media video platforms and content
requirements for Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and others. - Experience in assembling recorded raw materials that is suitable for
broadcasting which may include camera footage, dialogue, sound effects
while maintaining a good achiving system. - Must be flexible, adaptable, creativity, able to pay attention to
details and organised to manage multi projects and time requests.
