The Ministry of
Works and Transport is a Cabinet level government ministry of Uganda, that is
mandated to plan, develop and maintain an economic, efficient and effective
transport infrastructure, and transport services by road, rail, water, and air.

About Force Account:
Force Account is a
support project towards the development and maintenance of the National Road
network in Uganda. It is an approach by the Ministry of Works and Transport to
ensure cheaper, faster and effective way of developing Road network in Uganda.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise all construction works on sites.
- Ensure proper management of equipment, materials and staff;
- Deputize the Force Account Manager;
- Ensure that works are executed according to the required
specifications and set standards; - Prepare work-plans and budgets for the Unit;
- Supervise and appraise subordinates;
- Ensure that incidental and monthly reports are prepared;
- Assist the Force Account Manager in preparing financial
accountabilities; - Requisition for necessary materials to be used on site.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The Site Engineer / Assistant Force Account Manager must hold a
Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or in any other related
field from a recognized Institution with at least fifteen (15) years’ work
experience in Civil Engineering or related field with a reputable
organization Or Higher Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized
Institution with at least twenty years (20) years’ work experience in
Civil Engineering or related field with a reputable organization. - Applicants should be willing to work in any part of the country by
normal posting instruction. - Age: 35 to 65
years
