About US:
The Ministry of
Works and Transport is a Cabinet level government ministry of Uganda, that is
mandated to plan, develop and maintain an economic, efficient and effective
transport infrastructure, and transport services by road, rail, water, and air.
About Force Account:
Force Account is a
support project towards the development and maintenance of the National Road
network in Uganda. It is an approach by the Ministry of Works and Transport to
ensure cheaper, faster and effective way of developing Road network in Uganda.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Conduct repairs on the equipment
  • Build and assemble machines or mechanical components according to
    requirements
  • Inspect machines, engines, transmissions and run diagnostic tests to
    discover functionality issues
  • Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment and systems
  • Keep logs of work and prepare report.
  • Keep the equipment clean
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicant must hold an O ‘Level Certificate
  • Presentation of valid driving permit
  • Practical experience as a mechanic for at least one year
  • Applicants should be willing to work in any part of the country by
    normal posting instruction.
  • Age: 25 to 60
    years
