About US:
The Ministry of
Works and Transport is a Cabinet level government ministry of Uganda, that is
mandated to plan, develop and maintain an economic, efficient and effective
transport infrastructure, and transport services by road, rail, water, and air.
About Force Account:
Force Account is a
support project towards the development and maintenance of the National Road
network in Uganda. It is an approach by the Ministry of Works and Transport to
ensure cheaper, faster and effective way of developing Road network in Uganda.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Assist the Driver/Operator in operating and maintaining of
    equipment.
  • Provide safety of the vehicle
  • Keep the vehicle clean and tidy
  • Carries out minor repairs on the vehicle.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The Plant/ Vehicle Attendant (Turn man) must hold an O-level Certificate
  • Possession of Certificate in Operators Training from a reputable
    Organization.
  • Possession of a valid Diving permit.
  • Practical experience as a Driver/operator of at least one year in a
    reputable Organization is added advantage
  • Applicants should be willing to work in any part of the country by
    normal posting instruction.
