Medical Store (JMS)

(JMS) is a Church founded private not for profit organization whose mission is
to supply medicines, medical equipment and related health care services of
assured quality to the people of Uganda at affordable prices.
Excellence (CoE) will be responsible for diagnosing performance and SOP
adherence problems of staff while recommending and coordinating implementation
of appropriate interventions. The Quality Assurance Officer – CoE will liaise
with the Quality Assurance Unit, Capacity Building Department and Human
Resources &Administrative department to implement the interventions.
- Identify performance and procedural adherence problems, determine
root cause(s) of the problems and develop remedies to rectify them. - Develop performance and SOP adherence improvement solutions or
treatment programmes and capture the experience for the future - Develop methods and techniques to establish best practice and
disseminate this to the other staff within the organisation - Share and disseminate new tacit and explicit knowledge across the
organisation through mechanisms such as by suggesting amendments to
manuals through the Directorate of Technical Services or through
‘frequently asked questions’ on the corporate intranet - Communicate tacit knowledge verbally to other staff through training
and performance review meetings - Recommend treatments for performance and SOP adherence problems
including a combination of PIP, job rotation, counselling and training. - Determine on a case by case basis the required duration for the
treatments indicating clearly situations where CoE experience may no
longer be effective
- The applicant for the Joint Medical Stores (JMS) Quality Assurance
Officer – Centre of Excellence (CoE) job must hold a Bachelor of pharmacy
or Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBCh.B) or Bachelor’s degree
qualification in pharmaceutical or supply chain field. - Certificate in quality improvement an added advantage
- Possessing of at least one year hands on supply chain experience in
the health sector - Having practical experience in service quality improvement
- Having strong ability to explain and communicate
- Having broad range of technical and people skills
- Possessing analytical and conceptual skills
- Excellent report writing skills
