Job Summary: The Production Manager will organize, plan,
coordinate, and control ail tea making processes in the factory with a view to
producing high quality teas at a minimum cost.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops factory/ production objectives, defines performance
standards for all factory workers and ensures that those standards are
achieved to precision. - Ensure that proper factory records for every process are documented
ad kept. - Monitor stock levels of fire wood, factory spares and ensure that new
orders are timely made to avoid unnecessary bottle necks. - Supervises subordinate employees giving them feedback on their
performance as may be necessary. - Identifies training needs for the staff in the department and
recommends appropriate trainings to the Human resource manger - Implement company policies to the extension rovers the Factory and
interprets it for the clear understanding of the staff. - Carries out annual performance appraisal of employees in the department
and makes recommendations to the HR Manager. - Makes regular spot checks on various processes to ensure compliance
with set production standards and guidelines and takes appropriate action
on findings, which require follow up. - Writes and submits to the General Manager regular factory management
and production reports covering plant capacity utilization/cost
control/labour productivity with a recommendation on technical
modifications as may be required - Perform any other job related dimes as assigned by the general
manager
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in; Agriculture, Food
Science or Agricultural Engineering. A Master’s degree and additional
training will be an added advantage. - The applicant should also have at least five (5) years working
experience in a similar position in the tea industry
