Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the UK team and Communications, Advocacy and Fundraising
Department to produce regular films and stills for specific fundraising
appeals and update films for supporters. - Support the Communications, Advocacy and Fundraising Department team
to script and produce engaging films and stills to promote domestic
adoption and fostering in Uganda. - Support the Learning and Development team by producing training
videos - Contribute films/photographic updates for specific donors with
direction from UK team and Communications, Advocacy and Fundraising
Department. - Produce case study videos documenting the social work process and a
child’s journey through placement. - Generate ideas for films, short clips, and stills for social media
content across CiF and Ugandans Adopt. - Capture weekly photos and short videos for all online communications
to share with supporters the project progress. - Work closely with the CAF Department. Participate in weekly meetings
to discuss ideas for videos and stories for latest blogs, advocacy and fundraising
appeals. - Ensure that all the footage is backed up at all times and files are
organised. - Take an active lead on Facebook Workplace.
- Conduct training with staff on how to best tell stories.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant for the Child’s i Foundation Producer job must hold a
University Degree (undergraduate) or Film School Qualification - At least two years previous experience in production.
- Previous experience in shooting on Cannon DSLR cameras.
- Experience in editing with Adobe Premiere Pro
- Experience producing short films.
- Experience interviewing contributors and filming topics of a
sensitive nature - Good writing skills
- Good computer skills including Microsoft Word
- Experience with specialist software i.e. Adobe Photoshop and Adobe
Premiere Pro - Good photography skills or an interest in photography
- Good knowledge and experience of using video cameras and the basic
principles that apply to filming - Excellent skills in producing short turnaround films from pre to
post production with the ability to tailor a story for a particular
audience - Confidence to conduct interviews with contributors on your own and
tailor the interview according to film brief
