Job Summary:    The Deputy Project Manager will be
responsible for management of Design, Construction, Schedule control, Cost
control, QA/QC, Purchase, Logistics, HSSSE of the Kingfisher Oilfield of Albert
Lake development.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Support the project Manager to manage the KF surface project
    development.
  • Responsible for the management of Design & Construction,
    schedule & cost control, QA/QC, making the project management plan and
    engineering/construction implementation plans.
  • Assist project Manager to manage purchase, logistic, HSSSE, making
    the project management plan and purchase, logistic, HSSSE implementation
    plan.
  • Maintain the internal relationship between the project team and the
    related departments.
  • Prepare regular reports for the Project Manager.
  • Responsible for training and supervision of the subordinates and
    appraise their working performance.
  • Manage the preparation of engineering contracts, bidding for the
    equipment procurement and guiding the strategy of selecting the
    contractors.
  • Site construction management.
  • Schedule & cost control management.
  • Purchase management.
  • Site QA/QC management.
  • Site HSSE management.
  • Logistics management.
  • Organize the commissioning and project acceptance.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by project Manager.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicant for the CNOOC Uganda Deputy Project Manager job
    placement must hold a Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering, Petroleum
    Engineering or the related.
  • Fifteen years of related working experience in the Oil & Gas
    industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of design, construction and project management.
  • Extensive knowledge of the procedures of project and construction.
  • Knowledge of petroleum engineering technology.
  • Understanding of oil engineering, reservoir, drilling and
    completion, production, etc.
