business is operating and maintaining Nalubaale and Kiira hydroelectric Power
Stations. Their mission is to be the “Centre of Excellence in Power Concession
Management.”
Job Summary:  The Maintenance Manager will support Eskom
Uganda Limited (EUL) in achieving its vision of providing reliable electricity
by providing excellent asset care and maintenance solutions in a methodical,
consistent, auditable, cost effective and optimised manner.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Provide strategic guidance and business planning support to the
    Maintenance Sections, in order to effectively maintain plant assets and
    improve outage performance
  • Formulate and manage standardised and optimised maintenance
    processes, procedures, Standards, systems, tools and technologies
  • Manage the performance of direct reports by implementing effective
    talent and people Management strategies
  • Manage the Department Finances within budget


Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical,
    Electrical or Electro-Mechanical or Control and instrumentation.
  • A Masters or Doctorate qualification in Business Administration,
    Business Management or other related leadership areas is an added
    advantage.
  • Compulsory Professional registration reputable body: Registered as a
    Professional Engineer
  • Seven years of practical and related work experience in related
    industry
  • Of which 3 years of experience are in management position.
