Coordinators
Centre-Uganda (AIC) works with other service providers to ensure access to high
quality HIV Counseling and Testing (HCT) services and information. AIC offers
HCT services, SMC, HIV Care & Support, Sexual Reproductive Health services,
BCC, Capacity Building and Development through 9 main branches, selected
hospitals, health centers and antenatal clinics.
Centre (AIC) is a national Non-Governmental Organization committed to improving
the quality of life of orphans and other vulnerable children. AIC is one of the
Sub Recipient CSO implementing the USAID/Uganda BETTER OUTCOMEs Project for
Children and Youth in Eastern and Northern Uganda. The consortium partners for
the Better Outcomes Project include: World Education Inc. /Bantwana (WEI/B) as
the prime partner; Uganda Women’s Effort to Save Orphans (UWESO), Mercy Corps,
Youth Alive and Friends of Christ Revival (FOC-REV); each responsible for
specific technical aspects of the project. The project targets 6 districts of
Northern Uganda, these include: Arua, Kitgum, Gulu, Apac, Lira and Oyam.
supervise and coordinate the data collection and entry activities in the
region, carry out on-going monitoring and evaluation of AIC’s operations in the
region and provide the strategic information and feedback necessary for ensuring
effective implementation of AIC programs
- Up-to-date plans available for monitoring and evaluation activities
in the region - All data related to service delivery accurately captured and stored,
using approved tools and methods - Data properly validated and cleaned
- Data properly entered into the databases
- Security of data ensured
- Data appropriately analysed to generate information required for
managerial decision making and for necessary actions related to service
delivery - Information provided to authorized users
- Day-to-day support provided to the regional staff on ICT
- Monitoring and evaluation reports regularly submitted on AIC
activities in the region
- The ideal candidate for the USAID Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
job placement should preferably hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics,
Computer Science or Population Studies - Qualification in data management
- Three years of work experience in data analysis and management
- Experience of working in the health sector
- Special Knowledge in Data Management
- Principles of program monitoring and evaluation
- Principles and Protocols of HIV/AIDS Prevention and Care
- Rights of People Living with HIV/AIDS
- Knowledge of the local languages of the area
- Computer skills relevant to data management
- Database design
- Statistical analysis skills
- Good coaching skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Good report writing skills
