Asaak provides
financial services to previously unserviced Ugandan entrepreneurs via mobile
phones. Based out of Kampala, we offer small loans to entrepreneurs and farmers
who would otherwise not have access to such forms of capital. We use SMS and
community-based lending to help break the cycle of the unbanked entrepreneurs
in the developing world. In turn, helping to fund infrastructure projects,
small business expansions, agricultural technology, and mortgages.

Job Summary: The Receptionist will be managing the head
office and attending to clients. Team members will also have opportunity to
provide feedback as the voice of the customer that will create impactful change
to the company’s services. In addition,
agents will have the opportunity to work on creative projects that affect the
customer experience.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Communicate our value proposition to potential and current customers
- Greet customers as they enter the office, offering refreshments and
understanding customer needs - Work with borrowers through a short form application, deciding if
they are the right fit for Asaak or not - Open and close the office on a daily basis
- Manage general upkeep of the office, hire and manage cleaning
staff
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree
- A minimum of three to five years of customer service experience,
preferably at a financial institution
- Excellent communication skills characterized by excellent writing
and speaking skills - Excellent multi-tasking skills and be able to function under
pressure - Self-starters
- The applicants require minimal supervision
- Ability to use a tablet/smartphone/computer, experience with Google
Applications a plus - Be patient and willing to help others in solving problems while
maintaining a positive attitude at all time
