limiting suffering of HIV-impacted children and families. We provide
comprehensive HIV/AIDS treatment, care, and support and prevention services
through effective programming, integration, decentralization, strategic
partnerships/collaboration and referral linkages.

Job Summary: The Clinical Officer reports to the Clinic
Head and is responsible for the smooth implementation, of all clinical
activities (curative, preventive, promotive and rehabilitative), in respect
with policies and norms related to standards of clinical practice, hygiene and
for the medico-legal aspects of health care.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Clinical officer ensures standardization and quality of clinical
care - The incumbent plans comprehensive care that delineates interventions
to attain expected outcomes. - He/She participates in providing clinical care to HIV patients in
the Clinic and outreach sites, Maintains accurate medical records - Participates in the CQI meetings and activities
- Actively participates in improving referral systems and community
linkages through collaboration with the community in-charge - Participate in continuous professional development activities
- Prepare and submit required reports in time
- Support the Coordinators (Community Facility linkages, HTS, eMTCT,
OVC) as required to maximize the continuum of care between the HIV/AIDS
Clinic and other aspects of the CAFU program.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate should preferably hold a Diploma in Clinical
Medicine from a recognized Institution - Four years of experience in HIV/AIDS Clinical Care
- Working knowledge of Ministry of Health and Uganda AIDS commission
regulations.
