The head
chef will train and manage kitchen personnel.
Supervise
and coordinate all related culinary.
Select
and develop recipes.
Standardise
production recipes to ensure consistent quality.
Establish
presentation techniques and quality standards.
Ensure
proper equipment and operational maintenance.
Ensure
food safety from purchasing from purchasing, storing, prepping and cooking by
enhancing laid down food safety policies.
Oversees
special catering events and may also offer culinary instructions and
demonstrate culinary techniques.
The head
chef directly supervises kitchen personnel with responsibility for disciplining
and performance reviews.
The applicant
must hold a diploma or degree in catering.
Four or
more years of experience in culinary management activities.
Previous
experience with food cost control demonstration cooking.
Menu
development and pricing.
Development
of culinary team preferred.
Premise
and liability accountability.
Excellent
cooking skills and professionalism.
An
understanding of produce and ingredients.
Ability
to cost and write down recipes.
Know how
to use a point of sale back office system and ability to use the system.
Ability
to use the system of tract inventory and goods.
Creative
enough to develop and play around with recipes without supervision.
Idea
about the western dishes i.e burgers, sand wish, pizza and Eritrean dishes.
