Civil Society Organization Network (KCSON) is a registered NGO network
operating in Western Uganda. KCSON started in 2003 and focuses on capacity
building of CSOs, promoting effective governance in public service delivery
including natural resources governance, and empowerment of vulnerable groups of
people. KCSON’s current donors include CRS (for a USAID funded program), WWF
(UCO), IDI and members. KCSON is one of the CSO implementers of the USAID
funded Sustainable Outcomes for Children and Youth (SOCY) Project in Kibaale
and Kyenjojo, in partnership with ACODEV as an IP and Catholic Relief Services
(CRS) as the Prime. However KCSON has extended to district of Hoima and Ibanda
for implementation of the project activities.
Job Summary:  The Linkages Coordinator will be responsible
for coordinating project implementation in the district and ensure supervision
and maintenance of an effective referrals & linkages system while working
with clinical, local government and private sector to ensure timely delivery of
services to project beneficiaries in managing household vulnerabilities, being
guided by OVC core program areas. She/he will supervise Social Workers to
effectively perform assigned tasks in respective Sub-counties such as: home
visits, referrals, case follow-ups and ensure completion of referrals. She/he
will work in liaison with the Community Development Officer {CDO), SOCY DPC and
other relevant stakeholders to organize District-level Integrated Referral
reflection meetings, producing timely and informative project periodic activity
reports.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work
    & Social Administration, Development Studies, Community Psychology,
    Guidance and Counseling.
  • A higher qualification in the related field is an added advantage
  • Three years of work experience in community/social work particularly
    on Advocacy, OVC and/or HIV/AIDS donor-funded projects;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage community volunteers and experience
    in working with rural communities;
  • Ability to multi task and work under pressure to deliver results;
  • She/he should have computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and
    PowerPoint, data entry, Demonstrable good communicatio6n skills in both
    English and Local Language
  • Desirable: Class A
    riding Permit- Motorcycles
