promotes demonstration and widespread adoption of improved pre and
post-production agricultural technologies for smallholder farmers in Uganda in
collaboration with relevant government institutions, farmers’ organizations and
the private sector.

Job Summary: The Accountant will be supervised by the
Finance Officer and Program Coordinator by performing general accounting
duties.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- General accounting tasks, including
reconciling and maintaining balance sheet accounts and general ledger
operations, preparing journal entries, preparing monthly closing and
financial reports, preparing account/bank reconciliations - Ensure account receivables and payables
activities are performed accurately and timely - Ensure timely and accurate monthly and
Quarterly closure of accounts, including bank reconciliation, and submit
reports to the Finance Officer as per prescribed deadlines - Ensure financial data on the accounting
software, Navision Dynamic 2017 is updated
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate should hold a
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration or any related
discipline. - Extra professional training (ACCA. CPA
or similar certification will be an added advantage. - Three years of experience in a reputable
NGO is a pre-requisite.
