Job Summary: The Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH)
Supervisor will be responsible for growing and maintaining a quality WASH loan
portfolio and ensuring that the WASH project is effectively implemented within
the stipulated project period.

the stipulated project period.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor the overall quality of the WASH loan portfolio performance
and draw attention to deviations from risk assets and acceptance criteria - Building and maintaining effective working relationships with
implementing WASH officer teams. - Identifying possible risks that could affect project implementation
and suggesting possible ways of developing risk mitigation strategies to
relevant stakeholders - Working with relevant bank departments to support the WASH
implementing teams to enable smooth implementation of the project - Building relationships with partner organizations and any other WASH
stakeholders, to mobilize potential borrowers to acquire WASH loans - Timely submission of monthly and quarterly reports to relevant
stakeholders using the appropriate templates as per request and schedule. - Working with WASH branch teams to carry out performance monitoring
visits to confirm proper utilization of WASH loans and their impact to
lives of the beneficiaries - Train and coach credit staff in WASH credit assessments/ analysis
techniques and monitor their progress regularly - Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Banking, Economics,
Finance, Accounting or related fields - At least five years of credit experience in a financial institution
- Experience in project management
- Knowledge and understanding of the Water Sanitation and Hygiene
sector is an added advantage - Skills in community mobilization and team building are critical
- Demonstrated computer literacy (MS Office Suite: MS Excel, MS Word,
MS PowerPoint and databases).
