Co., LLC (URC) is implementing the USAID Regional Health Integration to Enhance
Health Services in East Central Uganda Project (USAID/Uganda RHITES-EC) whose
aim is to support the implementation of a comprehensive integrated investment
in regional health, nutritional assistance and HIV/AIDS programs. The
five-year project targets 11 districts in East Central Uganda with an estimated
total population of 4.1 million through a district-based integrated package of
quality health, nutrition, HIV / AIDS and child development services.
and Nutrition is responsible for providing high level strategic leadership
guidance and oversight for design, implementation, monitoring/evaluation and
documentation of/for the RMNCH, FP and Nutrition components of the USAID
RHITES-EC program. S/ he will work closely with other project staff and
district teams to ensure technical quality in the design, implementation and
routine monitoring and evaluation of evidence based and high impact RMNCH, FP
and Nutrition interventions.
- The applicant for the USAID RHITES-EC Team Leader for RMNCH, Family
Planning and Nutrition job opportunity must hold a Post-graduate
qualification in Medicine, Public Health, or related field with a
Bachelor’s degree in Medicine (MBChB) - One year of working experience in strengthening service delivery
systems in RMNCH/ FP and or Nutrition programs, ideally working closely
with central and district local governments to design, implement and
monitor related public health interventions - Broad knowledge and understanding of the Ugandan health care system,
particularly the public health system (district health services) and good
knowledge of relevant community support structures - Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills with ability to lead
multi-disciplinary teams.
