a fully-fledged commercial bank serving a clientele of over 400,000 depositors
and over 23,000’ borrowers, through a network of 36 branches countrywide. The
bank offers a variety of Products and services including; Savings, Current
accounts, Loans, Money transfer services and Bills payments to its target
market which comprises of micro, small and medium entrepreneurs, salary earners
and youth.
Job Summary:  The Credit Officer – Micro/Individual Lending
will implement the Credit policies and procedures in line with the individual
lending procedures of Finance Trust Bank.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Build and maintain a good quality loan portfolio.
  • Market the company products in line with the individual lending
    policies & procedures.
  • Identify, assess, train and sensitize potential customers about loan
    products, amount and period in line with the individual lending policies
    & procedures of Finance Trust Bank.
  • Disburse loans to clients on daily basis after the loan meeting in
    line with the set performance targets and the recommendations of the
    credit committee.
  • Manage the relationship with customers in line with the Individual
    lending procedures of Finance Trust Bank.
  • Compile and submit loan returns in line with the individual lending
    methodology of Finance Trust.
  • Conduct on time loan recovery & aggressive savings mobilization.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The applicant for the Finance Trust Bank (FTB) Credit Officer –
    Micro/Individual Lending job opportunity should hold a Degree/Diploma in a
    Business related field from a recognized Institution.
  • At least three years of working experience as a loans officer in a
    reputable organisation is a MUST.
  • Computer literacy skills
  • Good Sales and Marketing skills.
  • Highly organized person, with ability to multitask with ease.
  • Good Interpersonal skills.
  • Good Customer Service Skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision and in a rural setting with farmers.
  • High level of integrity and self-drive.
  • Willingness to work in the field at least 60% of the time.
  • Ability to ride a motorcycle is a requirement.
