Job Summary: The
Senior Planning and Research Officer will coordinate and harmonise planning for
the Authority and Industry, design insurance market studies, data compilation
and generation of reports, as well as Monitoring and Evaluation of the Industry
plans in line with approved policies and procedures.
Senior Planning and Research Officer will coordinate and harmonise planning for

and generation of reports, as well as Monitoring and Evaluation of the Industry

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the development, monitoring and evaluation of IRA strategic
and operational plans on a timely basis; - Keenly review and monitor the implementation of departmental and
players plans and other approved policies and procedures and provide
recommendations. - Keep track of the implementation of planned activities in line with
the industry development plan. - Collect data, analyse, interpret and make periodic reports.
- Undertake research and market surveys to develop a strong
understanding of markets. - Track fundamental economic and other strategic developments in the
local and international economy. - Support the day to day operations of Market Research &
Development. - Carry out any other duty as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Insurance Regulatory Authority of Uganda
Senior Planning and Research Officer job placement must hold a Bachelor’s
Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Statistics, Economics, or any
other relevant field. - Postgraduate and/ or Professional qualification in a relevant field
- Five years of research, planning and managerial experience in a
reputable organisation
