supervising the Engineering Project Management Team’s environmental plan for
the project. The incumbent will assist in implementing the HSE system for the
project, organizing and implementing the environmental management work at all
stages of the project.
- Prepare the environmental management plan for the EPC phase in
Compliance with the CNOOC HSE system and environmental regulations, best
practices and ensure that the plan is implemented. - Responsible for the identification of environmental risks in EPC
phase, develop measures and organize environmental management work. - Supervise and assist the Contractors to build their environmental
management system, conduct audits and evaluations. - Compile the environmental weekly report, monthly report and yearly
report. - Responsible for regular inspection of the environmental status of
the site facilities during the construction phase. - Improve the contingency plans and reserve sufficient resources to
respond to any emergencies. - Responsible for the environmental treatment implementation for
incidents or accidents during EPC phase. - Keenly monitor site personnel and equipment certification to ensure
that they comply with environmental requirements. - Assist organize on-site environmental meetings, trainings and
drills. - Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
- The ideal candidate for the CNOOC Uganda Environment Engineer job
opportunity should preferably hold a Bachelor s degree or above in
environment management, engineering, safety, engineering or a related field. - Seven years of related experience, four years in oil & gas
related work experience in environmental management. - Extensive knowledge of environmental protection, environment impact
assessment and pollution control technology. - Knowledge of laws, regulations and standards on environmental
protection, for onshore and offshore oil development and production
activities, and ISOI4000 environmental management system. - Knowledge of engineering and work site management.
- Broad knowledge and understanding of oil & gas Industry.
