• Prepare Finance Department
  budget and consolidate IRA budget;
• Prepare monthly, quarterly
  and annual financial accounts, statements and reports in accordance with the
  International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Public Finance
  Management Act (PFMA);
• Tasked with the management
  of investments through timely placements with the right balance of risk
  and return. Timely submission of quarterly investment reports to the DF
  for review;
• Prepare cash flow reports,
  establish monthly cash requirements and request for replenishments on a timely
  basis;
• Coordinate and provide
  documents for the audits, within agreed timelines;
• Maintain and monitor the
  fixed assets register;
• Continually review and
  update internal controls to minimize risk exposure and losses for IRA.
• Staff supervision and mentoring
  to ensure the technical capability.

• The ideal candidate for
  the Insurance Regulatory Authority
  of Uganda Manager Finance job placement must hold a Bachelor’s degree
  in Commerce, Business Administration (Accounting Option) or in any other
  relevant/related field majoring in accounting or finance.
• Master’s degree in
  Accounting or Finance
• Professional qualification
  such as ACCA or CPA
• Seven years of experience
  working in a similar position or in a related environment
• Knowledge of a number of
  accounting packages is desirable
