- Prepare Finance Department
budget and consolidate IRA budget; - Prepare monthly, quarterly
and annual financial accounts, statements and reports in accordance with the
International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Public Finance
Management Act (PFMA); - Tasked with the management
of investments through timely placements with the right balance of risk
and return. Timely submission of quarterly investment reports to the DF
for review; - Prepare cash flow reports,
establish monthly cash requirements and request for replenishments on a timely
basis; - Coordinate and provide
documents for the audits, within agreed timelines; - Maintain and monitor the
fixed assets register; - Continually review and
update internal controls to minimize risk exposure and losses for IRA. - Staff supervision and mentoring
to ensure the technical capability.
- The ideal candidate for
the Insurance Regulatory Authority
of Uganda Manager Finance job placement must hold a Bachelor’s degree
in Commerce, Business Administration (Accounting Option) or in any other
relevant/related field majoring in accounting or finance. - Master’s degree in
Accounting or Finance - Professional qualification
such as ACCA or CPA - Seven years of experience
working in a similar position or in a related environment - Knowledge of a number of
accounting packages is desirable
