stake in Faulu in 2014 and UAP in 2015 by Old Mutual. The Group now offers

include Investment, Insurance, Banking and Savings as well as a wider and more
accessible distribution network. The wider group also offers broad career
prospects for employees. It therefore wishes to fill the vacant positions with
qualified, experienced and talented individuals to strengthen its portfolio as
a Pan – African Financial Services Group.
Job Summary:   The Business Development Manager – Financial
Institutions will be responsible to plan and carry out direct marketing and
sales activities, so as to maintain and develop sales of Bancassurance
products, in accordance with agreed business plans.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • To contact targeted Bancassurance banks per day, with an aim of
    increasing insurance premium sales per month.
  • Building a master database of tangible leads from which monthly
    qualified prospects are developed.
  • Manage Account services through quality checks and other follow ups
    including timely delivery.
  • Producing of monthly management reports and Production reports
  • Ensure aggressive selling of relevant product / service through
    presentations and intense follow up thereafter.
  • Ensure Customer inquiries are resolved promptly as per laid down
    policies and procedures.
  • Champion Insurance product training, sensitize customers on
    insurance products within the area of operation.
  • Execute other duties assigned by your supervisor in line with the
    business strategic plan.
  • Work with marketing to drive programs and events to extend the
    relationships to new prospects and business associations.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • Three years of experience with proven track record of achieving
    desired targets.
  • Business Related degree (BBA, BCOM)
  • Professional qualification is an added advantage
  • Leadership skills with strong intellect and vision.
  • Proven record of honesty and integrity
  • Innovative
  • Entrepreneurial drive & Business development experience
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Self-starter with personal management skills
  • Sales experience and Management ability
  • IT proficiency
  • Good assessment and analytical skills
  • Ability to interact at all levels
  • Report writing and presentation skills
