positions for a hydro power plant in Achwa, near Gulu in Northern Uganda.

Job Summary: The Technical Services Manager will provide
technical support to operation and maintenance activities and propose actions
to optimize the technical management of the plant. Monitor HSE and Quality
compliance and performance of the plant and implement programs to achieve the
requirements of the Environmental, Health, Safety and Quality Management
System.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Technical support
- Keenly monitor the preventive, predictive and corrective
maintenance. - Promote the use of Condition monitoring tools, record result,
analyze and report them. - Prepare and/or lead the preparation of technical studies on
operation incidences. - Prepare, implement and monitor the annual training plan including
specific quality trainings. - Coordinate/organize the technical competence assessments for all
staff. - Management of non‐conformities, corrective actions and
preventive actions. - Collaborate in the preparation of Operation Plan and its follow up.
- Propose, control, analyze and record improvements and modifications
on the facilities. - Analyze and propose actions to extend the useful life of equipment
and installations. - Manage documentation that is the internal & external documents
including local and corporate procedures and standards. - Collaborate in the preparation of maintenance actions when
requested. - Control and develop studies on energetic performance in co‐ordination
with other departments of the plant. - Administer Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
HSEQ Support:
- Implementation of HSEQ policies, manuals and procedures.
- Carry out the Risk Assessment and promote the risk awareness amongst
employees. - Oversee and manage the activities to ensure compliance of all
applicable operational and safety procedures, laws, policies, regulations
and standards. - Analyze work environment and design programs to control, eliminate,
and prevent disease or injury. - Promote good health, safety and environmental practices.
- Prepare or participate in incident investigations.
- Perform workplace safety audits and ensure that any remedial
recommendations are implemented. - Control the disposal of toxic and dangerous waste
- Prepare and perform specific HSEQ training plans and define and plan
the staff training in the areas of competence. - Support other HSEQ activities that could be requested.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or
Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. - Five years of experience in a similar or related role
- Knowledge and experience in cross‐functional
management methods and techniques and HSE Standards. - Knowledge of industry applications, processes, requirements, and
equipment. - Skill in leading people and getting results with a strong customer
orientation
