Job Summary: The Medical Hostel Attendant will mainly
ensure clean, healthy and attractive work environment for both IAU and its
client who access services at the medical hostel.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Direction: Ensure that the medical hostel sanitation
facilities are in proper condition and proper usage by clients.

Stakeholder Management: Ensure clients are well informed about
the usage of the sanitation facilities outside.

Process management
- Ensure that the Hostel
compound, toilets, bathrooms are well maintained on a daily basis. - Supply all clients with
adequate laundry soap and maintain laundry-washing area. - Ensure clients access
water for cleaning, bathing and washing at all times and regulate water
use accordingly. - Ensure that supplies of
cleaning materials and equipments for maintaining hygiene at the hostel
are available and in continuous supply.
Support to staff & other Managers: Providing support to
staff in all sanitary related work at the centre.

Risk Management
- Continuously assess risks
inherent in the job - Develop mitigation
measures to curb the risk.
Compliance: Ensure Adherence to IAU policies and procedures.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for
the InterAid Uganda Limited (IAU) Medical Hostel Attendant job opportunity
should preferably hold an “O” level certificate - One year of experience in
a similar role - A high measure of
integrity, reliability, independence and flexibility - Professional, friendly and
have a client focused approach - Good time management skills
- Service-oriented and have
exceptional customer service focus - Should be dependable and
pay attention to detail
