placing emphasis on Honesty, Integrity, Efficiency and Customer care, Housing
Finance Bank is the leader in the mortgage, holding a 90% market share.
Job Summary:  The Systems Officer – IT Applications will
mainly implement and maintain all the current Bank IT applications in line with
policies and operating procedures, departmental plans, risk and regulatory
frameworks.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Implement the maintenance, installation and upgrade of all IT
    application services including but not limited to Web Logic, Leasing
    application, Cheque clearing applications, E-security application, RTGS,
    HRMS application, SWIFT, interfaces Management (SEL/SIL and Alerts)
  • Fix and report system errors through agreed logical execution and
    complex troubleshooting methods.
  • Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity of all IT
    application services in line with the risk and regulatory frameworks.
  • Implement improved the processes and procedures for the systems
    under the function in line with business goals and priorities
  • Quickly resolve all IT application service requests in line with
    service level agreements.
  • Prepare and submit reports for systems under your docket as and when
    required.

Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:                                                    
  • The ideal candidate for the Housing Finance Bank Systems Officer –
    IT Applications job opportunity must hold a BSc (Honours) Information
    Technology, computer science, Electrical engineering or computer
    engineering.
  • ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management is an added
    advantage
  • Technical Training in Basic Linux Systems Administration
  • Weblogic System Administration Training
  • Product Knowledge and development certification
  • One year of experience in managing business applications running on
    Web Logic.
  • Knowledge of PC and Server operating systems
  • Understanding of Microsoft SQL and Oracle Databases
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential and
    professional manner
  • Confidentiality is of the highest priority in all aspects of duties
    performed and all communications, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work with others as a cohesive team.
