Job Summary:
The Monitoring & Evaluation Officer will mainly develop and implement
Project’s performance Monitoring & Evaluation system, establish
information/data base for management purposes in line with World Vision Uganda
mission.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Tasked with developing and supervising the administration of the
    project performance M&E tools to track indicators in line project
    log-frames, DIP and M&E Plans.
  • Responsible for analyzing both qualitative and quantitative data
    that provides descriptive & inferential statistics as well as in-depth
    understanding of the project indicators.
  • Preparing and disseminating M&E monthly and periodic reports
    documenting the findings and impact of World Vision Work within project
    areas.
  • Implementing the National office Grants/HEA evaluation initiatives
    in the project target communities including Assessments.
  • Providing technical guidance and supervision to all staff members
    under the M&E department to ensure efficient implementation of M&E
    activities.
  • Take lead in documentation of success stories, documentaries to
    enhance evidence reporting.
  • Take lead in learning, reflections through Learning Events and
    Reflection meetings in order to inform, guide and direct WV future
    programming.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The ideal candidate for the World Vision Monitoring & Evaluation
    Officer job opportunity must hold a University degree in development
    discipline.
  • A minimum of two years of field experience in monitoring and
    evaluation: designing, preparing and conducting surveys, collecting and
    analyzing baseline data, and reporting.
  • Experience gained within World Vision specifically Grants/HEA would
    be an advantage
  • Must be able to work in a team and be prepared to lead and train
    subordinates.
  • Knowledge of statistical and qualitative data analysis packages e.g.
    SPSS, Epi-info, Nvivo, etc.
  • Very good or excellent written and verbal communications skills in
    English, and a good trainer.
  • This position requires a person who is self-starter, who can
    accomplish the task with minimal or no supervision. He/she should be able
    to manage a team of staff as well as cooperate with other units. He/she
    must be keen on details and well organized individual.
