Executive Director
Corporation (UDC) has been revived as an investment arm through which
Government will invest in strategic Sectors of the economy in partnership with
the private sector to trigger industrial and economic development of the
country. The mandate of UDC is to promote and facilitate the industrial and
economic development of Uganda.
Director Investments Development & Appraisal will provide leadership in the
preparation of strategic investments and economic analysis of the Corporation’s
Investments/programmes to enable the Corporation achieve its goals and
objectives
- The Head of Department will be responsible for the Investment
development and appraisal function. - Planning, managing and mentoring staff in the department
- Development of Investments proposals in line with set criteria
- Appraisal of Investment proposals to ensure their viability and
compliance with national priorities and the set criteria - Monitor compliance with the relevant investment policies and any
other policies in the investment process - Coordination with other departments and stakeholders to ensure
successful execution of the Corporation’s investments - Develop and implement a strategy on resource mobilization to enable
the Corporation have adequate funding - Provide leadership in priority setting and implementation of
investments for economic and industrial development - Ensure that investment projects and programmes comply with National
and Sector development plans and strategies - Put in place participatory approaches and methods to monitor and
evaluate performance and impact of the Corporation’s investments - Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time
- The applicant must hold a Master’s degree in Economics, Statistics,
Development Planning or related field - Honors degree in Economics, Statistics, Development Studies or
related field. - A minimum of ten years working experience in planning, economic &
investments analysis, 5 of which should be at Senior Supervisory level - Proven evidence in quantitative and qualitative data analysis
techniques - Excellent analytical skills and keenness to details
- Organizing and planning skills
- Creativity and innovativeness, leadership skills
