the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) to practice
accountancy in Uganda. The firm offers a range of services including accounting
and bookkeeping, auditing, tax advisory and other related services.

and bookkeeping, auditing, tax advisory and other related services.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the implementation of internal operating controls,
processes and practices. - Recommend changes and enhancements to existing policies and controls
to make sure they are current, adequate, functional and utilized in
accordance with standards established. - Conducting assigned audit engagements successfully from beginning to
end. - Effective Identification and communication of issues raised,
offering recommended solutions to relevant risk. - Supervising junior auditors assigned to engagements, providing
guidance and overall review of their work. - Ensuring audit conclusions are based on a complete understanding of
the process, circumstances and risk. - Developing audit programs and testing procedures relevant to risk
and test objectives. - Obtaining and reviewing evidence, ensuring audit conclusions are
well-documented. - Ensuring adherence at all times to all applicable firm /
professional standards. - Communicating assigned tasks to engagement team in a manner that is
clear and concise ensuring high quality, accurate, and efficient results. - Manage a team of junior auditors or accountants, reviewing their
works and providing guidance and training. - Address queries and complaints on audit related activities in timely
manner.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a professional accounting qualification i.e.
Full membership of ICPAU and/or ACCA. - A minimum of three years of Audit experience with an Audit firm
registered with ICPAU. - Strong background and experience with audit methodologies and
techniques. - High level skills with Spread Sheets
- Knowledge of Uganda’s Tax Laws – domestic and customs is an added
advantage - Knowledge of different accounting packages is an added advantage
- Strong business acumen
