Innovation and Knowledge Generation; Physical Infrastructure, Facilities and
ICT Development; Institutional Development and Strategic Marketing.
Job Summary: The
Assistant Secretary provides sufficient, effective and timely secretarial
services to the Department and Council Committees.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Render support in the preparation of notices, agenda, minutes for
    Council and its committees.
  • Follow-up on action for Council and its Committees.
  • Prepare notices, agenda and serve as secretary to the Departmental
    meetings. Follow up on the actions for the Departmental Committees.
  • Supervise IGU activities
  • Offer relief for Senior Assistant Secretary, Assistant Secretary, or
    Administrative Assistant 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicant must hold a Master’s degree from a recognised
  • Should have three years working experience in administrative
    services of a University or reputable Organisation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literacy skills
  • Age limit: below
    55 years at the time of application
