is the second largest Public University in Uganda. Since its formation in 2003,
the University has established itself as one of the leading Universities in
Uganda offering a number of academic programmes in line with vocational
education, teacher training, hands-on engineering, special needs training,
social sciences, pure and applied sciences, entrepreneurship and management
that meet the Market remands and development needs of the Country. The
Strategic Focus Areas of the University include: Teaching Learning; Research,
Innovation and Knowledge Generation; Physical Infrastructure, Facilities and
ICT Development; Institutional Development and Strategic Marketing.
- Supervise the support staff and ensure all records are properly
kept. - Supervise file movement system and provide appropriate guidance.
- Locate and attach appropriate files to correspondence to queries to
be answered by various officers. - The Administrative Assistant will also monitor an inventory of
office equipment and furniture in the department. - Follow up actions required at the Estates, Security and Medical
sections. - Assist in soliciting data information required from teaching and
non-teaching departments - Ensure cleanness of the offices.
- Ensure that the contracts are signed and adhered to.
- Provide technical (legal) support to various committees.
- Performs any other official duties that may be assigned by the
supervisor
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree and on-job training
- Must have effective communication skills and should be proficient in
computer applications - Must have an impeccable record of integrity.
- Must have good leadership and interpersonal skills.
