Organisation (NGO) offering Comprehensive HIV Care & treatment, Training,
Research & General Medical Services; also providing Health Systems
Strengthening to scale up comprehensive HIV/AIDS Services in 16 districts of
Central Uganda.
Job Summary:   The
KYC Counsellor- Unfinished Business Project (ELMA) will provide on-going/facility
based/Know Your Child’s  (KYC) status
counseling to existing HIV clients in care and at all entry points to increase
the identification of undiagnosed HIV positive children in the assigned
facility.  They shall also facilitate
same day enrolment on ART for all identified children and adolescents and
provide adherence counseling & psychosocial support to ensure viral
suppression for those on ART. They will also be responsible for facilitating
facility to community linkage and follow-up of children and adolescents in care
to ensure that they are retained in HIV care services.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The ideal candidate for the Mildmay KYC
    Counsellor- Unfinished Business Project (ELMA) job opportunity must hold a
    Diploma in Counselling and Guidance
  • Certificate in HIV Counseling is an
    added advantage
  • Candidate must be ready to reside in the
    district where the facility of deployment is located.
  • One year of experience in HIV/AIDS
    Counselling
  • Knowledge and experience of HIV/AIDS
    care issues
  • Knowledge of Ministry of health and
    local government systems
