About US:
Crown Beverages
Limited was founded and incorporated as Lake Victoria Bottling Company on 29th
March 1950. Then, the Uganda government owned the majority shares while a few
elite indigenous Ugandans owned the minority shares. In 1965, LVBC became the
Pepsi Cola franchise in Uganda and started bottling global soft drinks
including; Pepsi, Mirinda, Gingerly among others. In December 1997, CBL went
into joint ownership with International Pepsi Cola Bottling Investments,
(IPCBI) of South Africa, who bought 51% shares in the CBL and injected in more
capital and also had a controlling team.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
Machine Operation:
  • Setting the machine and gear output.
  • Regularly monitoring the process of oiling and greasing the machine.
  • Carrying out routine check on machine operations.
Maintenance:
  • Participating in spare parts planning for the equipment
  • Maintaining and repairing the equipment used.
  • Identifying arising problems and carrying out troubleshooting
  • Carrying out preventive and overhaul maintenance.
  • Participating in parts it placements and cleaning whenever
    necessary.
Quality Production:
Meeting the quality mandates of
the company in order to have quality production.
Cleaning:
  • Carrying out daily surface cleaning and regular deep cleaning as
    scheduled
  • Implementing machine sanitization.
Documentation and
Accountability:
  • Making daily shift reports.
  • Availing daily material and product usage records.
  • Carrying out monthly/regular stocktaking.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicant must hold a Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical
    Engineering
  • Additional training in HACCP & GMP is a must
  • At least two years of relevant work experience
  • Computer literacy skills
  • Good analytical skills
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Time management
  • Manual Dexterity: Must he quick and confident
  • Interpersonal skills and effective communication skills
  • HSE awareness
