Food Distribution Manager

Development-AFOD Uganda is a non-profit, non-governmental organization working
with humanitarian and development partners to address the needs of conflict
affected population, rural and urban poor communities in Uganda to address
their real needs in areas of health, nutrition, food security and livelihoods,
environmental health, protection and psychosocial support, and research.
supervising and coordinating the distribution of cash and food to
beneficiaries, providing information to beneficiaries.
- Providing general administrative support to projects under the direction
of the supervisor. - Producing proposals, plans and reports.
- Organizing and maintaining project files and databases.
- Assist in monitoring the project budget, scheduling meetings and
preparing presentations. - Any other relevant duties assigned from time to time by the
immediate supervisors - With support of the supervisor, plan, organize and monitor
distribution of foods to the beneficiaries.
- General administrative support provided to the project under the
direction of the supervisor. - Proposals, plans, and reports produced.
- Project files organized and maintained project database.
- Project budgets monitored, meetings scheduled and presentations
prepared. - Technical queries responded to, high standard of client service maintained.
- Duties assigned by immediate supervisors performed.
- The Programme Support Assistant must hold a bachelor’s degree in
project planning management or public administration or business
administration with the option of project planning and management. - At least two years of work experience in the same project or related field is required.
- Skills: Basic
computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point, very good
communication skills, such as writing, listening and speaking, planning
and negotiating and report writing skills. - Behavioral: Must
be influential, the ability to focus on multiple tasks at the same time,
very good public relations, patience and emotional intelligence.
