(HES) Specialist
that was founded in 2003 and runs Integrated Community Development Programs in
Public Health, Human Rights, OVC support, Livelihood and Grassroots Capacity
Development programs including sub-granting for small grassroots organizations
in East and now Southern Africa region.
Project:
Catholic Relief Services (CRS) as the Prime, is implementing a 5-year
consortium Program: Sustainable Outcomes for Children and Youth (SOCY).
Supervisor will work with the HES Specialist to ensure quality of SILC groups
formed, developing Field agent skills and certifying them as PSPs; Overseeing
them work as PSPs and organizing them into Functional PS Networks
- Promote the project and
PSP-SILC model to community stakeholders - Identify and lead the
recruitment process of Field agents - Train Field agents in SILC
methodology - Mentor, Coach and Provide
Feedback to Field agents to develop their Skills - Organize and Facilitate
Project events with Local Leaders, agents and groups as needed - Ensure Quality of SILC
groups through regular field visits and spot checks - Ensure Timelines and
accuracy of agents reporting and documentation - Review data collection
forms and MIS reports and take actions to improve project performance - Verify Stipends due to
agents - Certify and Launch PSPs
- Organize and Oversee PSPs
Networks - Take the lead in data
collection and capture in SAVIX
- The USAID Project Saving
Internal Lending Communities (SILC) Supervisor job placement must hold a
Diploma in Development Studies, Community Development or Adult Community
Education - Relevant experience
working with savings groups an added advantage - Previous experience
working with a centralized community based organization - Good interpersonal and
communication skills - Fluency in one or more
language of the operating area as well as English - Ability to ride a motor
cycle with a valid motor cycle riding permit
